General Meeting Recap
Financial Secretary Ben Tagert introduced executive board members and provided an overview of what the PTA does throughout the year. Auditor Victoria Zimmerle went over the annual financial audit findings for the 2025-26 school year and summarized recommendations to improve documentation and processes. Treasurer Jose Vaca presented the proposed budget for the 2026-27 school year. The general membership approved both the audit and the budget, which the executive board will now submit to the 3rd District PTA.
Open discussion included questions about the PTA reaching out to corporate sponsors for additional fundraising and event support, providing supplemental funds to the Matsuyama Flag Football team for jerseys, and making it easier for families to find information if they're not on social media. The executive board will take back these ideas for further consideration.
